Amateur Decisions 2-3-10 (Day 10)

This morning I overslept, so I had time to do about half of the things that I usually do when I wake up. At the time it seemed like the best decision, but in retrospective I believe I was an idiot for those first 30 minutes of today. Instead of eating breaky, which I love, or making a lunch, I decided to pour myself a shitty cup of coffee to drink on the way to school. Like I said, it seemed like a great idea at the time, but here I am, $8 poorer from having to buy lunch at Lover's Eggroll. Any young-guns out there do the same thing before? And I'm not talking about all you codgers out there, because I know my dad, and especially my mom would find that perfectly acceptable. Despite the brain-fart decision this morning, I'm not at addict status but I sure as hell love my coffee.

It's weird that I mentioned Lover's Eggroll in such a negative light because me and a couple buddies have gone there everyday for lunch for the past 3 months or so. It's one of those Chinese places that look super crappy until you try their food, which is flat out orgasmic. As long as you don't end up playing hockey on a stomach full of sweet and sour chicken (another amateur decision on my part), there's really nothing on the menu that's not good. Something that we noticed there today was that for all of the time we'd been going there, they had never played music in the background. The reason we noticed was that for the first time, they had the radio on while we were eating. This got me thinking, and I've finalized the background-music-in-moderately-priced-restaurants theory. Basically, the less you notice the music, the better the music is for being played in the background. Don't misread that and see that the less you notice it, the better the music is, because regular music and background music are completely different. I don't feel the necessity to explain the obvious difference between the two so I leave that comparison up for debate.

I wish my iPhone could catch pictures in the dark better, but as I was driving home today, this minivan took the same left as me into the opposite lane of traffic. After they were on the wrong side of the street, you couldn't get back over because of a super wide medium, so if there were more cars coming, they would've been screwed. Luckily for them, there was only one car going the other way, and they managed to miss each other by a safe enough distance. If it wasn't a minivan, possibly with kids inside, it would've been crazy to see an accident like that. It's terrible of me to say, I know, but I'm just speaking the truth.......I would've stopped to help though. See know I feel bad about saying it in the first place.

Now that I'm out $8, I'll be exactly $8 short of getting a new iPhone case. Moral of today; give yourself a nice pinch before making any important decisions in the early morning.
